The bid made by the Manchester United for Southampton's Luke Shaw last month is still on the table as United is still hopeful of signing the left back this summer.United had made a £22.5 million bid for Shaw on January 24. United’s hopes of signing Shaw were smashed by the public pronouncement from Saints owner Katharina Liebherr that she would not sanction the sale of any club in the recent transfer window. Just three Days before United’s offer, the Southampton owner said in a statement “We have said that we have no plans to sell any of the squad during the January transfer window”. However, United have made it clear that their interest in Shaw remains strong.
