All Eyes Sets on Rooney

England manager Roy Hodgson has uphold Wayne Rooney to break the longstanding national team goal-scoring record held by Manchester United legend Sir Bobby Charlton. This type of speculation is the result of his contract extension with Manchester United. The agreement is worth nearly $26 million a year, including commercial rights and is the biggest annual salary in the history of the English Premier League.


His 208 goals in 430 games ranked him fourth on the club’s all-time goal scorers list. He is only 41 behind the leader.  According to Sir Bobby Charlton, Wayne has been the best player in England Since he was put in Everton first team in 2003. It seems Charlton has so much faith on his incredibility.  Not only Charlton, David Moyes has also shown same kind of aspirations from him. David Moyes in United’s press release affirmed, “With his ability, his experience and his desire to succeed, he is a vital part of my plans for the future and I’m absolutely thrilled he has accepted the challenge.” Now all Rooney lovers are waiting eagerly how fruitful these aspirations turn to be.
