Micah Richards is hoping to leave Manchester City

Manchester City's longest-serving player Micah Richards has unwillingly accepted he needs to leave the club. He decided to turn down Man City’s offer of a new contract and pay rise as asserted by The guardian.
Richards who has made 250 appearances since making his debut in October 2005, lately believes he needs a fresh start elsewhere to play more regularly and try to rediscover his form. Richards has won 13 caps for England and played in the Great Britain squad for the 2012 Olympic football tournament.

City had been trying to dissuade Richards by offering him a new deal with improved terms.Richards has also been linked with Liverpool and Newcastle and should not be short of options. His departure could feasibly leave City with only two English players in their senior squad.
