Frank Lampard calls off his international career

Frank Lampard the 36-year-old midfielder announced his retirement from international football here today. The English international has spend 15 years with England and earned 106 caps.
he began his career at West Ham United with the joining of the youth team in 1994. Lampard recently joined New York City FC as a free agent on a two-year contract after being released by Chelsea. After being announced on 3 August 2014 by Manchester City Lampard would Man City on a six-month loan deal ending in January 2015.

This is second big announcement in couple of months for England after Steven Gerrard’s retirement in july 2014. Lampard made his final appearance for England in the draw against Costa Rica at the World Cup as captain.
Lampard said in a statement,“I have taken the decision to retire from international football. It has been a very tough decision for me to make which is why I have given it so much thought since the World Cup.I have always been exceptionally proud and honoured to represent my country and have to say looking back I have enjoyed every minute of wearing the England shirt.”
