An out of the blue transfer plot by Zinedine Zidane for Joe Gomez

Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane is plotting a shock move for one of the Anfield’s favorites Joe Gomez as reported by Spanish media.

The 19-year-old has recovered from a long-term ACL injury which ousted him for 15 months and has had very little first-team football since his return.

Despite his lack of first-team action at Anfield, France legend Zidane is said to have a 'weakness' for the London-born defender.

Many rumors have registered that  Real Madrid will reshuffle their squad this summer, and with Pepe moving to the Chinese Super League, there’s room for another young centre-back to arrive.

Zidane wants a new goalkeeper, attacking midfielder and striker with the boss ready to offload star players to make space.

Real Madrid manager Zidane is an admirer of Gomez as reported by Spanish outlet Diario Gol. He believes that Gomez can be a permanent solution for Real Madrid.

Gomez can play either as a centre-back or left-back, and he could be moved for as a long-term solution for Madrid.

The big question is that is Jürgen Klopp is ready to sell the young talent having just secured his new contract? The chances are pretty hard but Zidane could try and lure him to the club down the line.
