Antoine Griezmann is on verge of closing a high value deal with Manchester United

Jose Mourinho is all set to bring his top target Antoine Griezmann at Old Trafford by signing a deal that could cost Manchester United £86million

We all are familiar with the style of Mourinho. Whenever he steps in as manager of any club his attempt is always to bring young talent and to sack the vintage non performing players from the club. Sometimes this tactic has put his managerial career in jeopardy but he helped the clubs to win Trophies, League titles and Champions league.

The Old Trafford boss wants a long-term successor for Zlatan Ibrahimovic and potentially a direct replacement as early as next season for Wayne Rooney. He sees Griezmann as permanent solution for Manchester United as Griezmann has been on Mourinho's radar since he stepped into the club along with Everton’s striker Romelu Lukaku.

Sources close to the 26-year-old French international, who is close friends with United’s French midfielder Paul Pogba, claim  Griezmann move to Old Trafford is now mere a formality.

Signing the 26-year-old French international will cost Manchester United £86million but the fee will be no problem to United who are prepared to back their manager in the transfer market this summer.

That could incresase the chances of Rooney moving back to Goodison.

Mourinho also knows that Ibrahimovic is continually monitoring his own form and fitness at the age of 35 despite being in a sensational form in his first premier league season.

So recruiting one of the world’s top talents, like Griezmann, would seem a huge step towards transforming United and to make them ready for the next year’s title race.
