West Ham:Had made moves to sign Carlos Tevez and Fernando Torres

West Ham admitted that club had made moves to sign Carlos Tevez from Manchester City and Fernando Torres from Chelsea during the January transfer window.
£50 million Man Fernando Torres has struggled to regain his form this season, scoring just four goals during the current campaign and Argentinean who failed to sort his differences with manager Roberto Mancini.
But still both the clubs were not willing to negotiate terms for the out-of-favour strikers.
"We tried to get Torres from Chelsea," Sullivan told West Ham Till I Die. "Well if he couldn't score in the Premier League, come along with us for a month. We might fire him up. They just said 'not at this moment in time'.
"Three times we asked [about signing Tevez]. Three times they said 'no chance'."
Sullivan's co-owner David Gold later confirmed the Hammers were seeking to sign Torres on a "short-term loan".
