Arena Corinthians: Venue of opening match of FIFA World cup 2014

The stadium Arena Corinthians is scheduled to host six 2014 FIFA World Cup matches, including the opening match. The opening match will be played on June 12 between Brazil and Croatia. The stadium has seating capacity of 48,234 but it will be increased to 65,000 for the World Cup opening match by adding 19,800 temporary seats for the tournament. But the worry is will it be ready on time for the big day as it is still under construction. When completed, it will be the fifth-largest stadium on the top tier of the Brazilian League and the eleventh-largest in Brazil.  Just few days ago FIFA general secretary Jerome Valcke said, "We're not ready" .Construction has been delayed multiple times, most recently for the death of a construction worker few days back. Hope it will be ready on time to keep the spirits of FIFA lovers high.
