Goal-line technology For the First time in FIFA Finals

This year FIFA world cup is going to use Goal-line technology for the first time in the final matches. The decision has been taken after a conflict in previous world cup where England were wrongly denied a goal in their Round of 16 tie against Germany. This technology has been previously used as trials in 2012 Club World Cup, 2013 Club World Cup and 2013 Confederations Cup and after the successful trials FIFA finals will be the fourth competitions to use this technology. This will surely assist the referees in right decision making. A test run is being conducted at Maracana stadium in Rio de Janeiro. Josh Richards, an engineer testing the technology, says there are seven cameras per goal which give a 360-degree view.
