Bayern Munich has turned down world-record £88m bid for Thomas Muller offered by Manchester United

Manchester United who has bought a young talent Anthony martial in the Transfer window for £58m was believed to be an overbid. But it turned out that irrespective of the overbid United is prepared to shower even more money to strengthen its squad in the January transfer window.

It was asserted by German publication Kicker that United were prepared to spend the record sum (€120m) £88m on the World Cup-winning forward, yet Bayern declined to authorize the deal. Bayern made a good decision in keeping the striker as he has scored 10 goals in seven appearances this season.

The report includes that the 26-year-old would have got an astonishing salary of €12.5m (£9.2m) per season at Old Trafford.

In spite of the refusal it is trusted that The Red Devils will make another move for the 26-year-old in January as they hope to reinforce their thin attacking options.

Another report by Spanish production Fichajes comes in the midst of cases claims that Bayern Munich boss Karl Heinz Rummenigge fears of Premier League clubs swooping for their top talents.

Bayern Munich Chief Karl Heinz Rummenigge told Bloomberg Television: “We have an incredibly big gap between paid TV in England and paid TV in Germany.

“So, that is a big, big problem in the transfer market, because the English clubs have so much money available in that market that it is not easy to defend.

“We keep our best players here in Bayern Munich like Thomas Muller or players from Real Madrid like Sergio Ramos because they have big requests from England, so it is very difficult to keep them.”
